The researchers of CARTIF Pedro Acebes and Jorge Calvo, together with the researchers of the FCUP Fernando Noronha and Luis Lima, all of them members of the ESMIMET project team, visited, on June 12, the mines of feldspar, quartz and lepidolite exploded by the company MINERAL INDUSTRIAIS SA in the municipality of Guarda, in Portugal.

The objective of the visit was twofold:
– In the first place, to know, first hand, the exploitations from where these minerals are obtained by the aforementioned company “MINERAL INDUSTRIAIS, S.A”.
– And secondly, to propose possible collaborations to the company MINERAL INDUSTRIAIS, S.A with the members of the ESMIMET project.
