The Palace of Fairs and Congresses of Seville (FIBES) hosts the II International Exhibition of Metal Mining in which the ESMIMET project participates. In its second year, this event is consolidated as a reference point for the metallurgical mining sector at an international level, with more than one hundred registered companies and the main mining industries of the world.

The CARTIF researchers working on the ESMIMET project participated in the event and presented a poster entitled “Development of interregional capabilities in strategic resources in metal mining”.

This project, funded by the POCTEP program of the European Union, is working on the design of a joint strategy with cross-border territories in the north and center of Portugal and Castilla y León, to make the most of the mining resources. This implies the development of R&D&i activities related to exploitation and processing techniques, as well as R&D&i activities related to environmental and energy techniques.
