The ESMIMET project has met on Wednesday October 9 at the CARTIF Technology Centre (Boecillo Technology Park) to hold its fourth follow-up meeting since it was launched in July 2017.
CARTIF, as coordinator, and representatives of the University of León, University of Porto (FCUP), SIEMCALSA, the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN) and the General Directorate of Energy and Mines (DGEM), shared the main progress, the tasks and the technical objectives achieved so far.
Some of the tasks carried out since the last meeting within the project are the study of the alterations (hydrothermal and deuteric), the determination of the metallotects, as well as advances in the realization of the metallogenetic map. On the other hand, the CARTIF researchers working on the project carried out several presentations such as the administrative management of the project, its current status and forecasts of the activities to be followed.
Finally, the consortium also presented other aspects discussed in the project: studies on the techniques of exploitation and processing in metal mining, chemical markers, petrographic studies, identification of environmental impacts, research stays and scientific dissemination carried out in the project environment.
